Fawn is a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) and a national certified counselor (NCC). She is a member of the American Counseling Association (ACA). In 2001 she graduated from Indiana University of Pennsylvania in Indiana, Pennsylvania where she earned a Bachelor’s of Arts in Psychology. Fawn went on to continue her education at Indiana University of Pennsylvania, Monroeville, Pennsylvania and in 2010 graduated earning a Master’s of Arts in Community Counseling.
Fawn has experience working with older adolescents and adults. Her areas of interest/specialties include Addiction and Recovery, Anxiety, Anger Management, Grief/Loss, Depression, Acceptance and Life transition due to chronic health issues, and Mood Management. Fawn has worked in a variety of settings over the past 14 years, including women’s shelters, hospitals, outpatient drug and alcohol clinics, a halfway house, and community mental health. During that time, she has come to understand and believe that discord, spiritual and emotional, comes from disconnection from God and others, and that only reconnection to Him can ease those. To aid individuals in that reconnection/healing, Fawn uses Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, (CBT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Reality Therapy (RT) and Motivational Interviewing (MI) techniques to create a partnership to create positive change.
A nearly life-long born-again Christian, Fawn has learned that when faced with life challenges, it is important to be still, listen, and follow where the Father leads. “If He brings you to it, He will bring you through it.”
Fawn resides in Westmoreland County with her family and attends a Church of God church.
Fawn is available Monday through Friday, with morning, afternoon and evening hours available in our Monroeville and Vandergrift locations.
