Shannon Ritzert, L.C.S.W.
Shannon earned a Bachelor of Arts in Clinical Sociology from Indiana University of Pennsylvania and a Master of Social Work from Edinboro University. She is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in the state of Pennsylvania.
Shannon has over fifteen years of experience in the mental health field and more than twelve years of experience in the field of addiction. She has worked extensively in outpatient mental health and drug and alcohol treatment, providing individual, group, marital, and family counseling. Shannon is trained in crisis management and has experience with evaluations, assessments, and determining appropriate levels of care. She has counseled clients struggling with depression, anxiety, anger management, substance abuse, and co-occurring disorders. At Christian Counseling Associates, Shannon provides care that integrates evidence-based practices with a Christ-centered approach.

Personal/Church Involvement:
Shannon is a baptized believer and an active member of her church community, where she serves as a Sunday school teacher for children, a youth group leader, and a participant in life groups. Along with her husband, she is actively involved in church activities and events, and together they are raising three children. Her spiritual gift of exhortation guides her desire to inspire, encourage, and walk alongside others in their faith and healing journey.
