Emily Hoffman, L.M.S.W.

Emily earned a Master of Social Work from the University at Buffalo. She also holds a Master’s degree in Special Education from D’Youville College and a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology and Therapeutic Recreation from Houghton College. She is a Licensed Master Social Worker in the State of New York.

Emily has extensive experience working with individuals experiencing severe mental health challenges and substance use concerns. She currently serves as a clinician on an Assertive Community Treatment (ACT) team where she provides counseling, psychoeducation, and case management for individuals with complex behavioral health needs.

She also spent more than two decades working as a Certified Therapeutic Recreation Specialist at an inpatient behavioral health hospital. In this role, she developed and implemented therapeutic programming for children, adults, and older adults while collaborating with multidisciplinary treatment teams to support patient recovery and well-being.

Emily works with adolescents, adults, and older adults and has experience assisting individuals facing a wide range of emotional and behavioral concerns. She incorporates trauma-informed care and evidence-based counseling approaches while maintaining a faith-centered perspective in her work.

She has experience supporting clients in areas such as:
