Alyssa graduated from Franciscan University of Steubenville with a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology with a clinical concentration. She continued her education at Franciscan University of Steubenville, earning a Master of Arts in Clinical Mental Health Counseling. She holds the following license:

Alyssa has counseling experience working with adults and university students in clinical and counseling center settings. During her clinical training she provided individual counseling using a person-centered framework that supports client insight, growth, and goal development. She also assisted with outpatient group therapy focused on substance use recovery and worked with clients experiencing a wide range of concerns including anxiety, depression, stress, and life transitions.
Alyssa works with children, adolescents, and adults and is trained to work with most areas of clinical disorder. She especially enjoys working with children and young adults but has experience supporting clients across the lifespan.
Clinically, Alyssa employs a faith-based counseling approach using Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, and other person-centered techniques. She has experience addressing the following areas:
