Denise Poirier, L.C.S.W.
Denise earned a Bachelor of Arts in Social Work and Psychology from Rhode Island College. She later completed her Master of Social Work from the Rhode Island College School of Social Work in 1986, with a focus on clinical and administrative social work. She is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania.
Denise brings more than 30 years of experience in mental and behavioral health counseling. Her professional background includes work in outpatient counseling centers, private practice, hospital psychiatry departments, school-based counseling programs, nursing home settings, and faith-based counseling environments.
Denise works with adults and couples and is trained to address a wide range of mental health concerns. Clinically, she utilizes a faith-based approach that integrates Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavior Therapy, strength-based counseling, and trauma-informed care.
