Maria Hildebran, L.S.W.
Maria earned her Master of Social Work from Pennsylvania Western University (PennWest) Edinboro. She also holds a Bachelor’s degree in Sociology with a minor in Social Work from PennWest Clarion University. She is a Licensed Social Worker (LSW) and has additional training as a sexual assault advocate and peer mediator.
Maria has more than five years of experience working with children, adolescents, and families facing behavioral and emotional challenges. Prior to joining Christian Counseling Associates, she worked as a Family-Based Mental Health Professional with the Achievement Center of LECOM Health. In this role, she provided intensive in-home therapy, collaborated with multidisciplinary teams, and supported families through treatment planning and ongoing care.
Earlier in her career, Maria served as a Youth Worker at Hermitage House Youth Services, where she worked with adolescents in a juvenile placement facility. She supported youth in developing life skills, education goals, and community engagement opportunities.
Maria approaches counseling with empathy, collaboration, and respect for each client’s beliefs and values. She seeks to provide a supportive environment where individuals and families can work through challenges, strengthen relationships, and develop healthier coping skills. Her work emphasizes teamwork with families and other providers to support lasting positive change.
Faith has played an important role in Maria’s life. She has been involved in church activities since childhood, including Sunday school, youth group, mission trips, and volunteering at camps for children. She values incorporating compassion, faith, and encouragement into the counseling process when appropriate for the client.

Co-parenting and communication within families
She also has experience working with youth involved in juvenile placement settings and helping families develop healthier structure and communication patterns.
