Melinda earned a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from West Virginia University. She later completed a Master of Arts in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Liberty University. Melinda is a Licensed Professional Counselor in the State of West Virginia.
Melinda has experience providing counseling services in community and outpatient mental health settings. She has worked with individuals facing a wide range of emotional and behavioral concerns and values creating a supportive environment where clients feel heard and understood.
Her professional background includes working with individuals and families navigating difficult life circumstances, emotional distress, and relationship struggles. Through these experiences she has developed a compassionate approach to counseling that focuses on helping clients develop practical coping skills and healthier patterns of thinking and behavior.
Melinda works with adolescents and adults and is trained to address a wide range of mental health concerns. She utilizes evidence-based counseling approaches such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Solution-Focused Therapy while maintaining a Christ-centered perspective in the counseling process.
