Jami earned dual Bachelor of Arts degrees in Criminal Justice and Social Work from Gannon University, graduating magna cum laude. She later completed a Master of Science in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at Gannon University. Jami is a Licensed Associate Professional Counselor (L.A.P.C.) in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania and practices under the supervision of a Licensed Clinical Supervisor at Christian Counseling Associates. She is also a Nationally Certified Counselor (NCC) and holds certifications in SMART Recovery, QPR Suicide Prevention, Mental Health First Aid for Youth and Adults, and Layperson Naloxone Administration.
Jami has experience providing counseling services in outpatient mental health, partial hospitalization, substance use treatment, and juvenile justice settings. During her clinical training at LECOM's Behavioral Health Partial Hospitalization Program, she conducted intake assessments, developed treatment plans, provided individual counseling, and facilitated psychoeducational groups utilizing Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Solution-Focused Therapy. She has also worked with individuals recovering from substance use disorders through Gaudenzia Community House, where she co-facilitated recovery groups and provided trauma-informed support and community resource coordination.
