A Practice Built on Faith and Clinical Excellence
AppointmentsContact UsTo glorify God by providing excellent, accessible, and comprehensive Christian counseling services to our clients.
Christian Counseling Associates was founded in January 2009 with a single focus: providing competent, accessible, Christian-based counseling to the people of Western Pennsylvania. In the years since, CCA has grown to serve clients across more than 90 locations in Pennsylvania, Arkansas, New York, Ohio, West Virginia, and Kentucky, as well as internationally in Liberia, West Africa. Most of our offices are located within community church settings, reflecting our commitment to partnering with local Christian organizations to make counseling available where people already gather.
CCA was formed in response to a genuine and persistent need. People struggling with mental health concerns, substance use issues, and the ordinary weight of life's challenges were not finding care that took their faith seriously. That is the gap CCA was built to fill.
CCA counselors will strive to engage the Mission, Vision, and Values of CCA in their daily work with clients and colleagues.
Where there is no counsel, the people fall; but in the multitude of counselors there is safety.Proverbs 11:14 (King James Version)
Our Vision
CCA counselors are trained at accredited institutions and bring both clinical skill and a genuine commitment to the communities they serve. Our associates are members of the American Association of Christian Counselors and seek to be grounded, trustworthy presences in their local faith communities.
We serve both Christians who want their faith integrated into the counseling process and those holding any beliefs or attitudes toward spirituality. Whatever brings you here, we are a team of dedicated clinicians who work to understand the core issues behind emotional and relational difficulties and to walk alongside clients toward meaningful change.
Our Values
CCA's counselors are guided by the ethical and biblical foundations of the American Association of Christian Counselors. The AACC is the largest and most clinically diverse organization of Christian counseling professionals in the world, providing training, credentialing, continuing education, and ethical standards for thousands of practitioners. Its code of ethics establishes a framework for integrating Christian faith with clinical excellence, and CCA counselors are committed to practicing within it.
The following foundations are drawn from the AACC Code of Ethics:

CCA in Liberia, West Africa
CCA's reach extends beyond the communities it serves in the United States. In Gbarnga, Liberia, CCA operates a Sustainable Farming Program that represents the first phase of a longer-term vision to bring meaningful care to one of the world's most underserved regions.
The program combines faith-based residential treatment with vocational rehabilitation, offering participants a supportive community, therapeutic care, and practical agricultural training. The farming operation is designed to be self-sustaining, producing food and resources that support the program and contribute to the well-being of the surrounding community.
In a context where mental health resources are scarce and professional treatment is rarely accessible, this initiative offers a whole-person approach that addresses body, mind, and spirit together. It is an extension of the same conviction that drives CCA's work in the United States: that skilled, faith-informed care belongs in every community, regardless of geography or circumstance.
