Workplace Counseling
The difficulties you are navigating at work deserve the same skilled care as any other struggle. CCA counselors are here to help you process what is happening in a confidential space.
AppointmentsContact UsWhat Happens at Work Rarely Stays There
Work occupies a significant portion of most people's lives, and the difficulties that arise in the workplace rarely stay contained there. A conflict with a colleague or supervisor that is not resolved tends to follow a person home; chronic workplace stress affects sleep, relationships, and physical health; and a traumatic event can leave an entire community of people struggling in ways that are difficult to address without outside support.
CCA's workplace counseling services are for individuals who are navigating these kinds of difficulties and need a skilled, confidential space to work through them. CCA counselors bring both clinical expertise and a Christian perspective to workplace concerns, understanding that how a person functions at work is connected to how they are doing as a whole person.
CCA also partners with Employee Assistance Programs and organizations to provide on-site counseling and crisis response when a workplace or church community has been affected by a traumatic event such as a death or other significant crisis. If you are an individual seeking support or an organization looking to care for your people, we would be glad to talk through how CCA can help.
How CCA Approaches Workplace Counseling
Workplace counseling at CCA addresses two distinct but related areas of need: support for individuals navigating personal difficulties in the workplace, and crisis and organizational support for workplaces, churches, and other organizations facing a traumatic event or community-wide difficulty.
Counseling for Individuals Navigating Workplace Difficulties
Work-related struggles are a common concern that brings people to counseling, and among the most frequently minimized. Many people hesitate to seek help for workplace difficulties because they feel the problems are not serious enough, or because they are uncertain whether counseling is the right kind of support for something that feels more practical than emotional.
In practice, workplace difficulties are rarely purely practical. Conflict with a supervisor tends to activate older relational patterns. Chronic stress tends to reflect something about how a person relates to performance, rest, and their own sense of worth. A toxic work environment can erode a person's confidence, sense of identity, and trust in others in ways that extend far beyond the job itself.
CCA counselors work with individuals on a wide range of workplace concerns, including:
- Chronic workplace stress and burnout
- Conflict with colleagues, supervisors, or direct reports
- Difficulty navigating workplace culture or organizational change
- Career transitions and questions about vocational purpose
- The emotional and relational impact of job loss or unemployment
- Workplace trauma, including exposure to a critical incident or death in the workplace
- The challenge of maintaining faith and integrity in a difficult work environment
EAP Partnerships and Organizational Crisis Response
CCA participates in Employee Assistance Programs and is available to partner with employers, churches, and other organizations when a crisis or traumatic event has affected a community of people. This may include a death in the workplace, a sudden organizational disruption, or another event that has left employees, staff, or congregation members in need of immediate support.
In these situations, CCA can provide on-site counseling and crisis response services, either through an existing EAP relationship or on a direct basis. This is not a routine offering but a meaningful capability that CCA has provided in real situations where organizations needed skilled, compassionate support for their people. If your organization is facing a crisis or wants to explore what an EAP partnership with CCA might look like, contact us directly to discuss your situation.
