Celita earned a Bachelor’s degree in Secondary English Education from Berea College. She later completed a Master’s degree in School Counseling from Eastern Kentucky University and a Master’s degree in Mental Health Counseling from Eastern Kentucky University. Celita also holds a Ph.D. in Counseling from Louisiana Baptist University. She is a Licensed Professional Counselor Associate in the state of Kentucky and practices under the supervision of a licensed clinical supervisor.
Celita has extensive experience working in both educational and counseling settings. She currently serves as a Mental Health Counselor providing assessments, treatment planning, and individual counseling while collaborating with other professionals to support client care.
Celita works with adolescents, adults, and older adults and addresses a variety of emotional and behavioral concerns. She utilizes counseling approaches such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, and Solution-Focused Therapy while incorporating a holistic perspective that considers both emotional and physical well-being.
She has experience assisting clients with concerns such as:

Celita integrates Faith-Based Counseling when appropriate and views counseling as an opportunity to support healing, restoration, and hope. She has been actively involved in church ministry for many years, including prayer ministry, children’s ministry, and small group leadership.
