REVIEW USMeet Dayzia Colflesh, L.S.W.
Dayzia earned her Master of Social Work from The Ohio State University in 2023. She also completed coursework in Biblical Studies at Trinity Lutheran Seminary in Columbus, Ohio, studying subjects such as New Testament, Old Testament, Church History, and Human Suffering and Evil. She is a Licensed Social Worker in the State of Ohio.
Dayzia has experience providing clinical assessment, crisis intervention, and counseling services within hospital, hospice, and outpatient behavioral health settings. As an Emergency Room Social Worker, she conducts psychosocial evaluations, provides brief therapeutic interventions, assesses behavioral health concerns, and coordinates referrals for mental health, substance use, and community-based services. Her work requires strong clinical judgment, diagnostic interviewing skills, crisis management, and collaboration with multidisciplinary healthcare teams.
Prior to her hospital experience, Dayzia worked as a Licensed Social Worker in hospice care, where she provided counseling and emotional support to individuals and families facing grief, loss, chronic illness, caregiver stress, and significant life transitions. She has experience working with adolescents, adults, and older adults experiencing anxiety, depression, trauma, relationship concerns, adjustment difficulties, and co-occurring mental health needs. Her clinical approach integrates evidence-based interventions with a strong emphasis on assessment, emotional wellness, resilience, and helping clients develop practical strategies for meaningful change.
Dayzia works with adolescents and adults and is trained to address a wide range of emotional and behavioral concerns. She utilizes evidence-based counseling approaches such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy while maintaining a faith-centered perspective in her work.
