Shelva brings more than 30 years of experience working with children, adolescents, adults, and families through counseling, child welfare, school-based services, and community programs. She understands that challenges such as anxiety, family conflict, behavioral concerns, grief, and difficult relationships can affect many areas of a person’s life. Shelva works alongside clients to identify concerns, develop practical coping skills, and find healthier ways to manage the circumstances they are facing.
Shelva’s Christian faith has been an important part of her life and her desire to serve others. For clients who wish to incorporate faith into counseling, she welcomes conversations about Christian beliefs and biblical principles while providing encouragement, guidance, and practical support as clients work toward healthier and more productive ways of approaching life’s challenges.

Clinically, Shelva uses Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to help clients address concerns and develop healthier patterns of thinking and behavior.
